We have thought carefully about how to make our accommodation as accessible as possible for guests with a disability. So although our accommodation is not entirely wheelchair-accessible, it is relatively accessible given the nature of the traditional stone building. Fortunately the immediate area around the farm is level.
Parking is available near to the guestroom, and it is 10 metres from the nearest parking place to the door. There is a 6” / 15cm step up to the level of the guest-room floor, which is carpeted.
There is level access from the guest bedroom to the private bathroom, where there is a hardwood floor. There is a walk-in shower in the bathroom, but this is not fully wheelchair accessible because the shower cubicle is L-shaped. However there is adequate room for a carer to aid the person having a shower. We can provide a shower seat and anti-slip mats on request.
Access to the dining room and the music room, where we take breakfast, is also level. The dining room has a hardwood floor and the music room is carpeted. Please note that all doors are the standard domestic width of 30 inches / 75cms.
In general, we would say that the accommodation is fully accessible for someone with limited mobility, but unfortunately not totally accessible for a wheelchair user.
Please contact us if you require more information about accessibility.
