Little Trewern Bed and Breakfast
“An idyllic spot….with spectacular views of the Black Mountains….and gourmet meals” Country Living
Little Trewern is our beautiful stone-built farmhouse that nestles by the river Monnow, below the Black Mountains of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Walking, cycling and horse-riding in this unspoilt area is simply superb, whilst we are also near to the festival towns of Hay-on-Wye and Brecon.
We offer a luxurious ground floor suite, with a double bedroom, large private bathroom, and exclusive use of the dining / sitting room with its log-burning stove and comfortable seating. You will be our only guests!
The double bedroom, with fabulous views towards the Red Darren and the Black Mountains, is light, airy and spacious.
This double bedroom has its own private bathroom, with bath, walk-in shower, w.c. and wash-basin.
The sitting room / dining room looks out onto the Black Mountains, and is a wonderful place to snuggle up to the fire in winter, and enjoy afternoon tea when you arrive!
We offer a choice of delicious evening meals, and you can choose from a wonderful variety of breakfasts, from the traditional English cooked breakfast to Welsh muffins, Cornish saffron buns, French croissants, Alsatian Kugelhupf or Bavarian Stollen! You can also take advantage of our great value Romantic Hideaway Break for 2, which includes all your meals at Little Trewern.
Everything we eat is prepared here and cooked in our traditional farm-house kitchen. And almost all our food is grown on our own land, picked from the locality, or selected from specialist small farms nearby.
Stay and Learn at Little Trewern
You can also combine a little learning with a relaxing stay, by signing up for one of our French language or French Patisserie courses, as featured in Country Living, the Observer Magazine, and the Independent Newspaper. (But please note that the baking course involves about five hours of tuition, not 2 as stated in the Independent!)
We also run one-day courses for those of you who live within easy reach of Little Trewern.
Although we do charge for Bed and Breakfast, the warm hospitality, the beautiful countryside, and the total peace and quiet of living here, all come free of charge!
